Project Walkthrough
1. The Problem
The tenant reported an active floor leak behind a wall-hung Geberit toilet cistern frame. The toilet bowl was also backing up, and flush attempts resulted in toilet water rising to the rim.
2. Diagnostic Process
We removed the flush actuator plate to inspect the internal cistern components. We found that the fill valve mechanism had failed, causing water to run continuously down the overflow tube. In addition, there was a heavy calcium scale blockage inside the 90mm toilet discharge bend, causing water to backup during flush cycles.
3. Technical Solution
We isolated the shut-off valve inside the cistern. We disassembled the cistern internal parts, replaced the worn fill valve with an original Geberit silent fill valve assembly, and replaced the flush valve seal ring. We then used a specialized toilet auger to clear the calcium scale blockage inside the soil pipe, flushing it with pressurized water. After reassembling the cistern and toilet bowl, we ran multiple test flushes, confirming a clean, fast flush and zero leaks.
"Excellent repair of our concealed toilet cistern. They diagnosed the leak, replaced the fill valve, and cleared the blockage same-day." - Yasmin A.
