Booster Pump Repair in Arabian Ranches
An overheating villa pressure pump was cleared of impeller sand debris and restored with a new start capacitor. Read our diagnostic process, localized structural challenges, and the flat-rate resolution.
Project Walkthrough
1. The Problem
A homeowner reported a total loss of hot and cold water pressure throughout the villa. The water booster pump in the side yard pump box was overheating and hummed but would not spin or start.
2. Diagnostic Process
We opened the pump enclosure and verified the power supply. The motor was drawing power but locked up. We manually checked the pump shaft and found it was jammed due to sand and silt debris ingress. The motor start capacitor was also swollen and dead, damaged by heat from successive start attempts.
3. Technical Solution
We isolated the electricity and main water lines. We opened the pump chamber, cleared out the sand and fine silt from the impeller lanes, and verified that the shaft rotated freely. We replaced the failed start capacitor with a high-durability matching capacitor. We also installed a primary inline sediment filter cartridge before the pump intake to prevent future debris buildup. After priming the pump, we turned on power, calibrated the pressure switch cutoff at 3.5 bar, and verified high water pressure at all taps.
"Highly recommend their pump services. They cleared the impeller sand, swapped the dead capacitor, and got our villa pressure back." - David L.
