Project Walkthrough
1. The Problem
A homeowner reported heavy water pooling on their side garden lawn. The automatic booster water pump was running continuously without any faucets open, indicating a major underground water leak in the main villa distribution circuit. Continuous pump operation risked motor burnout and massive water waste.
2. Diagnostic Process
We performed a pressure drop test at the pump manifold, confirming a rapid loss of line pressure. Using acoustic geophones along the underground pipe path, we detected a strong hiss beneath the grass lawn. We carefully excavated a 1.5-meter section to locate the split PPR pipe. The damage was caused by shifting garden soil, which put stress on a rigid pipe elbow, causing a 10cm crack.
3. Technical Solution
We isolated the main water meter gate valve to stop the pressurized water flow. We cut away the damaged elbow and crack-ridden section of the 1-inch PPR pipeline. We prepared the pipe ends and heat-fused new high-strength PPR fittings and a new elbow joint, creating a solid, weld-secured connection. We backfilled the area with soft sand to act as a buffer against soil shifts, restored water flow, and ran the booster pump. We pressure-tested the line, confirming it held pressure, and restored the lawn surface cleanly.
"Highly professional work. They isolated the underground leak, replaced the split PPR, and got our supply back online quickly." - Karim A.
